Africa has 6 territories and the player that holds this region gains an additional 3 reinforcements per turn.

Africa has three points to defend from and is at a central location in the game. The player that holds this region is usually at odds with the player that holds South America. The player that conquers this region typically must do so when or before another player conquers South America. Attempting to conquer the region the turn after another player has taken South America can be difficult and could end up wasting the player's time and resources. The player that holds Africa must also prevent another player from conquering Europe. If another player conquers Europe usually spells the end for the player that holds Africa. It is advisable to conquer Africa if a player owns three or more territories in the region.
